Martijn Sandberg (Den Helder, 1967) studied autonomous art at the University of the Arts in Utrecht and at the National Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam. In his visual messages he constantly explores border areas, such as the tension between text and image, from illegible to readable or the private and public domain. He often creates works for public spaces site-specific works that can be seen in various cities, such as Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague, Drachten, Hardenberg and Maastricht. Sandberg lives and works in Amsterdam.
