Christine Saalfeld (Munich, 1968) is a visual artist and educator. She studied at the University of Applied Arts in Hamburg, the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, and obtained her master's degree from the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. Her practice encompasses drawings, animations, installations, and commissions in public spaces. Since 2020, she has been a lecturer at the St. Joost School of Art & Design. Her work has been shown at Het Nieuwe Instituut, MU Eindhoven, TENT Rotterdam, the Land Art Biennale Mongolia, and with partners and clients such as the Goethe Institute, Kulturreferat Munich, the Rotterdam Volkstheater, and EKWC. Saalfeld lives and works in Rotterdam.
