At this school on the Argonautenweg 55 you can find various works of art made in the percentage scheme. This arrangement meant that a percentage of the total building sum had to be spent on art when building the school. Various artists were commissioned to create a work, including sculptor Huib Noorlander. He made this small abstract sculpture with the title Birds. The work is made of limestone and placed on a column of natural stone. The image is quite low above the ground. In 1962 it is placed in the garden of the school, just like it Sitting girl. In the same period - 1963 - Noorlander made the same sculpture for the former Port and Transport School, namely Flying seagulls. This statue is now at the Shipping and Transport College (STC) in the Waalhaven. The sculpture is due to the school's relocation to a new building Birds placed in 2019 by the school in the depot.
