Eight ceramic reliefs have been placed in the facade next to the entrance of the Roman Catholic primary school De Rozenhorst. The facade stones were made by artist Leo van Oudheusden, the artist of Rozenburg, the village where he was born. The work was realized by means of a community art project, in which the artist went through a joint creative process with school children. Van Oudheusden worked with pupils of what would become their new school building on an expression of the learning process at school. Eight groups made a joint design per class, of a subject or a skill that you learn at school. From left to right the reliefs represent: child, language, arithmetic, religion, nature, geography, music and reading: in its entirety it forms a reading board. The social purpose of this work was paramount, because making the facade reliefs served to increase the involvement of the pupils in their school. The eight stones are built into the wall like a frieze. Van Oudheusden designated the place and shape for this. They point the way to the entrance of the school building.
