In 1974-1975, the Gerdesiaweg sports hall was built on the corner of Slaak and Gerdesiaweg. Artist Per Abramsen was commissioned, through the percentage scheme, to create an artwork for the sports hall's construction. He created a wooden figuration with wave movements, which covered almost the entire facade of the building. The environmental artwork consists of many wooden planks, all painted a dark brown. In some places, he applied a figurative pattern, such as at the corner of the building where some planks extend forward and others recede. Over time, more and more signs and names were added to the facade, somewhat disrupting the pattern. In 2017, the sports hall was renovated, and the artwork was removed in its entirety.
