On October 29, 1958, the new office building with a showroom and storage facilities of Braat Bouwstoffen NV was officially opened. The new building was designed by the Hague architects Hans Oud and Hendrik van Dam and was built by the construction company Hilgeman in Linschoten. In the new building, next to the entrance, there are three large rectangular surfaces. The left and middle surfaces are a window, but the right surface is a tile mosaic in the colors blue, red, white and black. There is a lying cross with red circles. The right circle is the sun. The left circle forms the head of a standing figure. The facade mosaic is therefore called 'Sun figure'. It is unknown who made the work, but it was a commission during the construction of the building. In 2025 we received a message that the work was apparently lost during the demolition of the building.
