Since 2008, the statue has been placed on the edge of the roof of the Kunsthal Another Time II by the English artist Antony Gormley. It is a cast iron standing naked man with a height of 1.91 meters, a self-portrait of Gormley. The artwork was purchased by the Kunsthal to celebrate their third lustrum. The purchase was marked with an exhibition in the summer. Another Time II was then part of the installation Event Horizon, for which Gormley placed another 15 polyester casts of his own body in public space within a radius of 1 kilometer around the Kunsthal. For example, there were figures on the eaves of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, the Erasmus MC and the Euromast, all facing the Kunsthal. With his sculptures on eaves, Gormley wants to disrupt the experience of people on the street and make visitors think. Interaction with viewers of his work is essential for the artist.
