About the artwork

Lon Pennock designed a work of art that should have a relationship with the Oost Police Station and the adjacent Hoofdweg. It was intended that the work could also be experienced from a moving car. The cubes were placed after an earlier design of whimsical shapes was rejected. The blocks are gray, but due to the placement and the light, the blocks appear to have different shades.
