You are cordially invited to the residents' meeting at Het Bollenpandje regarding the relocation of the artwork. IK by artist Jan van Munster (1939–2024) on Hudsonplein. After years of absence, attention is once again being paid to IKOnce was IK Just visiting the city for a bit, but now I want IK stay longer and is looking for a place to attach.
About the artwork
appeared in 1995 IK on the Binnenrotte as part of an art event. IK came by boat from India, where it was hewn from black granite into a full-fledged, proud IKThe artwork consists of the letters I and K and is designed in such a way that it is possible to sit on it. Jan van Munster got the idea for a seating sculpture when he saw someone sitting uncomfortably on a pile of stones. The seat he designed is much more comfortable. Moreover, the black polished granite retains the heat of the sun. Over time, it disappeared IK in storage. For a long time it could IK could not find a suitable place, but now it is returning to the public space. On Hudson Square, it has IK found a new place, amidst a large number of SEQs.
