On Sunday, May 31, BKOR is once again organizing an art walk as part of the Parks MonthLed by our regular art guide Anne-Marie Ros, we walk along the Maas, via the Noordereiland and the Erasmus Bridge towards Het Park and the Museum Park. Not a classic loop—nor an entire park—but a route past places where city, water, greenery, and art meet.
Along the way, we take short breaks at artworks by Auke de Vries, Otto Snoek, Willem Verbon, Martine Herman, John Körmeling, and Tom Claassen, among others. We peer across the Maas, head onto Noordereiland via Ons Park, past the Hefpark to the mobile project. Forest on LegsIn this way, various forms of greening and temporary use are addressed. Further along, we follow the swaying ornamental grasses and flowering plants at the Westerkade and the Leuvehoofd by the famous landscape architect Piet Oudolf, where his planting adds a new layer to the city. We catch a glimpse of the Rijnhavenpark in the making, a place where the city is taking shape anew. Via the Erasmus Bridge, we head back towards North. Past the Leuvehoofd, towards Het Park and Schoonoord, we end up in the Museumpark. An art walk where we look together, with special attention this time to greenery in the city.

About our art routes
In recent years, BKOR has developed various art routes that lead past many works of art spread throughout the city. All routes are offered as a PDF in Dutch and English via this website, but a foldable map is also still available for free at Rotterdam Tourist Information on Stationsplein. The routes have also been made accessible for your mobile phone without having to download an app. Go to www.bkor.nl/routes, select the route you want to walk or cycle and see where you are on the map.
