On Saturday, March 28, BKOR is once again organizing a guided art walk through Rotterdam South during Rotterdam Art Week. Art guide Anne-Marie Ros will lead you past artworks in public spaces, new venues, and temporary exhibitions. Call it an art expedition, where orientation, encounters, and experiences take center stage. We'll connect pop-up exhibitions, institutions, sneak previews, and art in public spaces.
Program
We'll meet at C3-studios, a former Technical School in Charlois. Here we'll visit the exhibition Don't forget to check in!, where Art Office presents a selection of projects they have financially supported in recent years. We travel by bus to the Art Rotterdam art fair in Ahoy, where we receive a personal welcome. We'll pay special attention to Unseen, integrated into a photography program for the first time this year. The visit is deliberately short and intended as an introduction and orientation.
We'll then travel by metro to Maashaven, pausing along the way to admire public art by artists such as Gust Romijn, Adrien Lucca, André Volten, Cosima von Bonin, Jeroen Jongeleen, Bier & Brood, and Ek van Zanten. In the former Santos coffee warehouse, we'll soak up the atmosphere of the recently opened Nederlands Fotomuseum (Dutch Photography Museum). Afterwards, we'll continue to Expo Codrico, where, after a brief introduction, there will be some time to explore the former flour mill on the Rijnhaven. During Rotterdam Art Week, there will be a group exhibition featuring work by over 180 artists, supplemented with poetry, music, and performances. Afterwards, we'll gather at Deliplein for a short visit to Rotterdam Photo, the container exhibition featuring work by over 75 (inter)national photographers.
We walk past Plein, the meeting place of the Fenix migration museum, which opened last year. During Art Week, the pop-up program of Unity in Diversity and South Explorer Invites will be held there. We take the water taxi across to Piekstraat, where we visit Murals Inc. for a sneak preview of the M-collection, featuring work by 80 artists. We finish at Connections The New Current in the former Hunter Douglas Factory, completely transformed for this edition into an exhibition with large-scale works by 26 artists that together form a single landscape.
Why shouldn't you miss this walk?
Because this walk connects art and South Rotterdam at a time when the options are vast and fragmented. You'll gain context, overview, and tips, and experience the diversity of South Rotterdam as you walk, with opportunities to look, listen, share, and discover.

About our art routes
In recent years, BKOR has developed various art routes that lead you past numerous works of art throughout the city. All routes are available as PDFs in Dutch and English on this website, but a foldable map is available free of charge from Rotterdam Tourist Information at Stationsplein. The routes are also accessible on your mobile phone without having to download an app. Go to www.bkor.nl/routes, select the route you want to walk or cycle and see where you are on the map.
