Last summer, the Rotterdam artist Ron van der Ende placed his new work of art Sash. Under the guidance of the artist, a team mounted the work, consisting of hundreds of wooden parts, on the facade of an apartment complex at the head of the Voorschoterlaan. Sash is made of felled wood from poplars from the Kralingse Bos, which can be smelled after a heavy rain shower.

The festive unveiling of the work of art is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, December 17 at 15.00 p.m. Ernest van der Kwast presents the program and interviews those involved and local residents. He also writes a column and will read it on the occasion of the arrival of sash. This winter drink is organized outside in the new park by the residents' initiative Kunst op de Kop.

The art project is linked to the refurbishment of the head of the Voorschoterlaan, which will be completed in November. BKOR acted as client and co-financer for this project, which was made possible with financial contributions from the Mondriaan Fund, the Droom en Daad Foundation and the Job Dura Fund Foundation. With special thanks to Woonstad and the municipality of Rotterdam.
