The new route map will be published on Wednesday afternoon 26 October Art route Rotterdam, from Zuidplein to Central Station launched. The latest map in the series of art routes takes you past 38 well-known and lesser-known works of art and takes you from Zuidplein via Dordtselaan, Maashaven and Rijnhaven, over the Erasmus Bridge and Coolsingel to Central Station. Just like last year, a collaboration has been entered into with the Oren en Ogen Tekort Foundation, which has made the images accessible to people with a visual impairment via a QR code.

At 14.30 pm at the artwork Il grande miracolo (1958) by Marino Marini (near Mijnsherenlaan 231A) handed over the first copy of the art route map. The presentation is in the hands of Ove Lucas, director CBK Rotterdam. Elvera van Leeuwen of the Oren and Eyes Shortage Foundation explains the initiative Picture in Sound. Two walks will then start at 15.00 p.m., one for children and one for adults. For people with a visual impairment, the images are described and experienced together. The tours are guided by Kachiri van Zwam and Elvera van Leeuwen.

EARS AND EYES SHORT
To increase the accessibility of the art route, we collaborated with Ears and Eyes Deficiency, a foundation that makes art more accessible for people with a visual or hearing impairment. This walking map is provided with a QR code with which audio fragments consisting of image descriptions can be listened to.
