The Timmerhuis opened its doors to the public on 11 December 2015. Herman Lamers designed an LED light object especially for the high space at the reception desk. The shape responds to OMA's architectural design, also known as 'the cloud' or 'pixels'. Or do the blocks perhaps refer to 'building blocks' with which Rotterdam built itself from the rubble in this place after the bombardment in 1940?
