Since last year, Breyten Muskiet (1978-2004), aka rapper BRIGHTNESS, has been honored with the Monument for BRIGHTNESS. An annual talent festival is organized on the Helderheidplein by Stichting Helderheid 5314. But who was this word artist and why did he inspire so many young people? On Sunday 25 September, we would like to take you on a special lunch art tour through Feijenoord, the neighborhood where he came from. The afternoon starts with a lunch offered by Joany Muskiet, the motor behind the Brightness Festival. We also meet Lloyd Muskiet, designer of the Monument for BRIGHTNESS. Accompanied by an art guide from Art Index Rotterdam, we will reflect on the art, architecture and history of the district. In between there are short performances by young talents. The afternoon will conclude with drinks in Mallegat Park.
