The restored work of art will be on Monday morning 20 May Mother and child (2001) by visual artist Carel Visser placed back on the sculpture terrace on the Westersingel. In October last year, a number of parts of the statue were destroyed and stolen. The work has been restored and placed by Binder Art Services. Mother and child is a composite work in which Visser - as always - combined found objects and waste materials into a whole, which was cast in bronze.
