Saturday 19 March at 15 pm the painting will be painted High flyer by the Rotterdam artist Vera Nederlof festively unveiled. Nederlof was commissioned by BKOR to make a painting of a boxer jumping rope. Together with Anne Engelbarts, the work has been placed in an ornamental frame on the facade of Zaagmolenstraat (corner of Benthuizerstraat).

With her colorful work, Nederlof gives fresh energy and she wants to 'literally give the neighborhood a leap of faith.' Various boxing and skipping demonstrations will be organized during the opening in collaboration with the nearby boxing school Huk-Tti (Zaagmolenstraat 212). Rudi Lubbers, the only Dutch boxer to fight Muhammad Ali, and other guest speakers will be present. The music is provided by DJ MF Andrade. Free boxing clinics are offered in the boxing gym itself and other works by Nederlof can be seen, including the original work of the High flyer. A free drink is also offered to toast together.

Vera Nederlof (Dordrecht, 1969) studied at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. She was an independent graphic designer, but wanted to put more freedom and creativity into her work. That is why she started drawing after twenty-five years of designing. She started drawing in the boxing school Huk-Tti in the Zaagmolenstraat, where she also boxed herself. She often paints 'boxers' and 'live boxing impressions' during boxing matches. In the spring of 2019, Nederlofs mural was painted on the corner of Boezemstraat and Boezemdwarsstraat. The street fighter applied.
