De Three Columns (1989)  of George Rickey have been placed back on the facade of Theater Rotterdam on Schouwburgplein. The work has been absent for almost five years. On May 19, 2015, one of the three moving sculptures on the facade of the Rotterdamse Schouwburg (now Theater Rotterdam) was severely damaged during a storm. The damage led to a thorough restoration. The moving, wind-winding constructions were installed in 1989 in the steel cubes on the facade of the Schouwburg. At the time, the artwork was a gift to the city of Van Ommeren (Vopak), which celebrated its 150th anniversary. During the design process, the American artist George Rickey worked closely with Wim Quist, the architect of the Rotterdamse Schouwburg. Rickey's relocation will follow later this year Two Turning Vertical Rectangles (1971) on the Binnenwegplein. This work was also completely restored.
