Art project Waterworks
River Maas is a true natural phenomenon that connects and divides Rotterdam. A tidal park is being constructed on the Brienenoord Island to show what the river is doing between our quays. Buitenplaats Brienenoord developed an art project together with Maurice Meewisse Water weeks. This project will start in October and will last one and a half years. Different artists will each offer an alternative picture of our approach to water in three months.

One of them is Maud van den Beuken. In this Z-Files we watch the premiere of her video showing how last year she conserved the Mississippi with Wim Balvert of the Rotterdam dredging company Van Oord and made it cross the North Atlantic Ocean. True We, the people of water (2019) may live more harmoniously in the future than now in the city. And finally, the initiators of Waterworks briefly in conversation with Laurence Peels (project manager of the tidal park). Maurice Meewisse concludes with a performance.
