About the artwork

During the Pow! Wow! Rotterdam 2020, Nazif Lopulissa made this wall relief. The work has the title Natural Habitat. This facade relief is made of concrete, as if the image seeps directly from the underlying wall. In a rapidly changing area in the Afrikaanderwijk, this wall relief is both part and product of urban redevelopment. Lopulissa wanted to do with Natural Habitat to create a work that makes people think about where they are, namely Rotterdam South.
