The theme for this work is feeling comfortable and free, and being able to enjoy your surroundings. She hopes to convey a positive message with this painting. Female figures are common in her illustrations, including here at the bottom of the painting. The work is made with the colors red, pink, green, blue and white
Marije Maria is an illustrator and mural artist. She graduated from AKV|St. Joost in Breda. She makes illustrations for various newspapers and magazines. She works for Theater Rotterdam, Erasmus MC, Trouw and Avans Hogeschool Breda, among others. Maria tries to apply her passion for traveling as much as possible in her work. Her paintings can be found in Zagreb, Ghent, Barcelona and Colombia.
