A ceramic relief by artist Frans Tuinstra hangs on the facade on the north side of the Maastorenflat. The work was applied in 1956 on a wall with glass mosaic cladding during the construction of the Maastorenflat, which is located at the bottom of the Erasmus Bridge. The work is about 3 meters high and has a black / yellow color. The representation is of a figure with a trident with references to waves and wheat; a typical topic for the reconstruction era. In terms of style, it is modern, stylized, graphic, with cubist influences. Another work of art by the same artist hangs on the east facade. With these two reliefs, the Maastorenflat is a beautiful ensemble.
