About the artwork

The water basin is part of the Nesselande arts plan written by artist Henri van der Putten. The CBK Rotterdam has issued four art commissions on this basis. After the Hydra van Moritz Ebinger (a Tintin-inspired sea monster in the Zevenhuizerplas) became 2008 at the end of June The water basin from Stan Lewkowicz added to the collection. After damage to the work, consultation with residents was established. They indicated that they wanted more at that location. In consultation came the idea for a fountain; an idea that the artist agreed to. Since June 2011 a fountain has been included in at the request of the residents The water basin.
