Untitled (2002) Lilian Roosenboom

About the artwork

Visual artist Lilian Roosenboom made this large round sphere in 2002 for the Pijnackerplein. The organic form is partly submerged in the floor. The sphere lay between the playground equipment on the square in full sun and had to move due to the redesign of the square. The bronze sculpture was placed in the Roel Langerakpark, but that too was of a temporary nature. Now the sphere, which has a line and circle-shaped structure in the surface, lies in the grass under the trees on the Noorderhaven quay.
