Education

People come into contact with new and diverse ideas through art. By looking at art together and talking about it freely, you also get a glimpse into the experience of the other and more insight into your own imagination. CBK Rotterdam offers education at different levels and works together with Rotterdam art and artists to bring children, young people, students and adults into this world. CBK Rotterdam offers education programs in which students are given the opportunity to express their opinion in words and images, for example by philosophizing about a work of art or by getting to work themselves. The starting point for these programs is always the collection of artworks in the public space of Rotterdam or an exhibition in TENT.

New in our offer is KNSTMPPN [Kunstmeppen]. This is a challenging, accessible and social art card game for students of all levels of Secondary Education, where the following applies: the more closely you look, associate and argue, the greater your chances of winning. This edition, exclusively developed for CBK Rotterdam, focuses on works of art from the public space of Rotterdam. The main aim of the game is to make students look differently at art from the city that surrounds them every day. In order to play the game, students do not need any prior knowledge of the artworks. The playing level is determined by the players themselves. In addition, skills such as good observation, association, creative thinking, discussion and argumentation are trained while playing the game. KNSTMPPN is offered as a total package and consists of playing the game under the supervision of a KNSTMPPN expert (at school or in TENT), a tour of art in public space (Rotterdam center) and tips for a processing lesson at school. In addition, each participating class will receive a game box as a gift, so that the game can be played in class again later. KNSTMPPN can be combined with guided tours in TENT.
