There is still a lot of reconstruction art to see in Rotterdam. The 10-part documentary series Never known shines a light on this monumental art from the reconstruction period from 1940 to 1970. Kees van Buren (documentary maker, former curator of the City Archives and National Military Museum and involved in the RKS graphic workshop) and Rob de Moes (Rotterdam philosopher, writer and documentary maker) found that here had to change and therefore started the project Never known in collaboration with Open Rotterdam. Rotterdam journalist Lauren Verbrugh went into the city to view works of art on, on or in buildings. In the 10-part series they go from Rotterdam South, to the Meent, and from the Erasmus MC to Schiebroek.
