About the artwork

This man looks attentively at the water with his legs pulled up, because the water level in the canals can differ. They are part of a network to guide water collection. Buro MA.AN made this man who is aware of that practical function, but with his 19-century costume also fits into this historic environment. Many wonder if it is Freddy Heineken, because the work is in the singel for the former Heineken Brewery. Buro MA.AN gave the artwork the title Waterlevel.
